Albrecht Durer: Melencolia

This is a study of Durer's Melencolia 1. This is one of the most famous artworks from The Renaissance period. When seen in the context of the other studies here, it is apparent that there is a code of geometry, numbers and harmonics which is understood by the few and universally applied. Durer's artwork is difficult to study as it Durer does not draw with the accuracy of a computer yet an understandig of the geometry requres that level of precision. The first video looks at the artwork and shows the discovered geometry. Subsequent vidoes give a more detailed explanation of the geometry.
